First of all - best views I’ve seen in SD. You see both La Jolla and Torrey pines from the restaurant, truly breathtaking.

But the logistics of coming into the restaurant and food ordering process is a bit.. complicated. So the parking - we parked on the street luckily there were spots open, and paid for parking via app. Then there was also valet parking which is super convenient, but we haven’t used it or I haven’t checked how much is it. The seating - you can’t make nine reservations so it’s only walk-in. We arrived and waited in line, and the hostess told us it is about 30 min wait. My mom has issues with her legs so we were able to sit in their inside area and wait for our table. One the table was ready they gave us a number, and told us to wait in another line inside to order food and then come back to get seated. Super confusing but we went along. Food ordering - we waited in another line to order our food and coffee. That took another 10-15min, and finally ordered our food and drinks and went back to the hostess to get seated. Food and Drinks - We ordered some pastry and mahi mahi sandwich with chips and fresh orange juice. Super pricy pastry, but the view makes it worth it and very interesting selection of pastries, they all look amazing. Mahi mahi sandwich was alright, not bad but also nothing too delicious or with coming back for. Orange juice was not fresh squeezed even though they told us it is. Service - as we were eating and enjoying our table a server came over few times to check up on us - not sure what his purpose is since we order everything at the counter. So basically he is walking and chatting and that’s it. Overall - amazing spot, really incredible views, but it seems like disorganized and could use just little more structure to make the entire experience...

This spot is a hidden gem—just down the street from my house and unbelievably convenient. The view alone makes you feel like you’re on vacation, and the food is absolutely top-notch. I highly recommend the chicken salad sandwich on the croissant—next level. Their pastries are also fantastic, and the staff couldn’t be friendlier.

The only letdown was the coffee. For $7, I was expecting more than a to-go cup with no presentation. Especially when so many specialty coffee shops offer beautifully crafted drinks for less. It’s surprising that so many otherwise amazing places overlook coffee quality—this spot could really benefit from a proper coffee consultation.

That said, I’ll definitely be back for the food, the view, and the vibes. Just hoping the coffee eventually gets the love it...

Came here for Sunday brunch and really enjoyed it. As others have mentioned, you’re definitely paying for the view—but the food quality was surprisingly a lot better than expected. We had the Smashed Avocado BLT Toast and the Mahi & Meyer Lemon Sandwich. Both were excellent—the bread was fresh and paired perfectly with the avocado, and the Mahi was cooked just right with the flavorful lemon remoulade. They also offer a nice variety of pastries - all made in house daily. Service was attentive and friendly, and our food came out quickly.

Tips: Visit on weekdays to avoid long waits. Free parking is available on La Jolla Shores Dr., or valet is $15 for the first two hours.

On weekends when they have a waiting list, once you are seated, you go up and order at...

Beautiful outdoor setting. Well organized and friendly staff. Coffee is delicious—and they have all the coffee options. But don’t order the croissants and pastries. I thought they’d have been baked overnight, and still be a bit crispy on the outside and buttery/flakey inside. Uh, no. They were reheated before serving in some quick-heat (or microwave?) oven. Soggy texture. The cream cheese frosting on the buns? Cloyingly sweet, so beware. I’ll be back—but I’ll give their savory entrees (crab Benedict, omelette, protein bowl) a try, and avoid the not-so-freshly-baked-and-served baked goods.
