Last time I recommended Comme chez soi, the No.1 viral restaurant in Budapest~ Its atmosphere and dishes still hold the top spot in my heart haha Now I’ll recommend a few more Hungarian restaurants perfect for a Budapest citywalk, and share the stunning winter scenery of Budapest and the pink-gold Danube at sunset 🌇 1️⃣ Red Pepper 🌶️ A well-established restaurant in a great location, you can even do some shopping at the nearby mall while waiting for it to open~ Mostly locals dine here, enjoying traditional Hungarian cuisine. The cave-like decor is unique, and their bread bowl beef soup and a certain fried noodle dish are top-notch~ 2️⃣ One of the World’s Most Beautiful McDonald’s 🍔 During my visit, the foie gras burger was already off the menu. Aside from the beautiful decor, I only had a standard McDonald’s experience. But guess what? The foie gras burger is back on the menu in February 2025! Breaking news~ However, this McDonald’s has another major highlight. Late at night, it transforms with a nightclub-style light show, making it a great choice for a timed visit~ “This McDonald’s is located near the bustling Budapest Nyugati Railway Station. The station is a typical Baroque style, built with red bricks in the classical European architectural style. It was constructed in 1846 and has a history of nearly two hundred years.” 3️⃣ VakVarjú Restaurant (Crow Restaurant) 🐦‍⬛ One of Budapest’s most popular restaurants, it’s almost impossible to get a seat without a reservation or a long wait Their cocktails 🍸 are excellent, and it’s a meat lover’s paradise. The portions are quite large, too~ 4️⃣ Paprika A local favorite for small gatherings. The main courses have a high meat content, suitable for sharing. Honestly, don’t miss their traditional specialty dessert.
