Burlington | Vermont 🗻

Burlington | Vermont 🗻 After driving a solid three and a half hours from Boston, I arrived in Burlington, Vermont’s largest city, with high expectations—only to be a little stunned when I got out of the car: it’s so tiny! 😂 🚗 First impression of the city: Cute in its size On the map, downtown looks neat and square, but in reality, you can walk through it in less than 20 minutes. It feels smaller than Shanghai’s Wujiaochang business district! The whole city has just one main commercial street , with not many shops. Wandering around, the novelty fades quickly, and it’s hard to find unique souvenirs. A little disappointing, to be honest~ 😮‍💨 🇹🇷 Unexpected find: Turkish vibes everywhere While exploring, I noticed something super interesting—no idea what special connection this small town has with Turkey, but there are tons of Turkish restaurants on the streets! The aroma of grilled meat fills the air, and many shops display Turkish-style carpets and accessories, oozing exotic charm~ I tried looking it up but found no answers. Could there be a hidden story? 🤔 🏘️ Beyond downtown: A nostalgic, quiet vibe Venturing beyond downtown, the atmosphere shifts suddenly~ The old houses look aged, with weathered walls, and the streets are eerily quiet, carrying a sense of time-worn antiquity, even a touch of quiet . Still, this slow-paced vibe has a unique retro charm, perfect for taking artsy photos~ 📸 🌊 The only highlight: Healing moments by Lake Champlain Finally, I visited the lakeside park by Lake Champlain, and at last, it felt like a vacation~ The greenery is amazing, with lush lawns and a wooden boardwalk along the lake. Strolling in the breeze is so relaxing~ The fluffy ducks in the water waddle around, adorable and totally heartwarming! 🦆 Sitting by the lake watching the ripples, all worries seem to drift away~ Overall, Burlington isn’t a traditional “tourist hotspot,” but its quiet, laid-back vibe makes it perfect for anyone wanting to escape the hustle and bustle to zone out. If you’re planning a trip to Vermont, consider stopping here—a little town with its own unique rhythm~ 💕 #Vermont#USTravel
