Calgary’s Most Reliable Korean BBQ – Still My #1 After All This Time!

So far, this is my absolute favorite Korean BBQ place in the city! 🏠: Korilla Korean BBQ 📍: 1410 17 Ave SW, Calgary 💰: ~$40+ per person 💁🏻‍♀️ Located on bustling 17 Ave, this spot has a great vibe, friendly service, and almost no lingering smoke inside. The first floor is for BBQ, the second floor is a bar, and the basement has KTV—perfect for group hangouts. They really know how to cater to young crowds! 💁🏻‍♀️ Five of us ordered the 1410 GORILLA (3-person set) plus two extra sides, which was more than enough. Nothing beats devouring meat like this! 🥩 The set includes: Korean-style beef short ribs Brisket Pork belly Pork sausage Sundubu-jjigae (spicy tofu stew) Steamed egg in stone pot 🥩 The meat was super fresh, well-marinated (flavorful but not too salty), and had a great variety. You grill them in order from left to right, and the server swaps the grill plate before cooking the pork. 🥩 Wrap the juicy meat in lettuce with kimchi and sauce—absolute perfection! 😎 The tofu stew was a delightful surprise too—so rich and delicious! 😋 🥙 The pa-jeon (seafood pancake) was decent but had too much green onion. The corn cheese and cold noodles were solid choices as well. 🍺 Their drinks are great too—highly recommend the Highball, Somsatang, and draft beer. 🍻 Side dishes and sauces are unlimited refills! The only minor issue was the round tables being a bit cramped for all the meat—if you’re with a big group, ask for a square table.
