Camping Under the Stars in the Wilds of Washington State ๐
๐ Steamboat Rock State Park After crossing the Rainier mountains, the scenery in Washington changes dramatically! Eastern Washington feels like another world: dry, open, and sunny, almost like California ๐๐. Blue skies, white clouds, and bare, rugged cliffsโitโs a quick switch from Seattleโs damp vibe to a sun-drenched wilderness! This is the kind of place where vast landscapes stretch as far as you can seeโthereโs a lake, mountains, and wide, quiet plains where you can hear the wind whispering ๐๐. During the day, you can hike around the massive rock formation, with views shifting from lakeside meadows to steep cliffs. When the sunset hits the rock face, it looks like a scene from an old Western movie! ๐ค ๐ Our campsite was right by the lake. With almost no light pollution aroundโthe nearby town has fewer than a thousand peopleโthe stars come out in full force as soon as it gets dark โจ๐. At night, listening to the crickets and gazing at the starry sky, the whole world just slows downโฆ ๐๏ธ๐ญ #StargazingCamping #CampingSeason #CampingVibes #WashingtonStateTravel #WashingtonState #PNW #EasternWA #AtmosphereCamping #MeaningOfCamping #RelaxedCamping #CampNightMagic #WildernessEscape #NatureTherapy #OutdoorLife #StarLitNights
