Can't Stop Thinking About This Matcha Ice Cream in LA's Little Tokyo!
I've always liked matcha, but honestly, I've rarely had matcha products that made me go "WOW, this is absolutely incredible!"... until now! π After a meal in Little Tokyo, my friend and I randomly walked into this specialty matcha shop, and it turned out to be such a happy accident!!! π π¦ Swirl Ice Cream (Matcha + Hojicha Flavors) This was seriously SO delicious π When they serve it, they even sprinkle roasted tea powder on top β such a nice detail, and it looks so pretty! π The flavor is rich and bold, with a perfect balance of matcha and hojicha. It's slightly bitter but incredibly aromatic. The sweetness is just right β not overly heavy or cloying at all. The two flavors blend together beautifully, and the matcha doesnβt overpower; itβs all about the tea essence. Truly impressive! π π΅ Drinks Were Less Memorable The drinks looked prettier than they tasted. My matcha drink tasted a bit like matcha lightly mixed with water β simple but not standout. I noticed more people ordering the Dirty Matcha, so maybe that oneβs more unique! π Friendly Heads-Up There arenβt many staff, so orders can take a while to prepare. Thereβs seating inside, though! Halfway through my ice cream, I noticed the line had stretched all the way to the door π So make sure you plan for a little wait! β₯οΈ Midori Matcha Cafe π 123 Astronaut Ellison S Onizuka St #101-C, Los Angeles, CA 90012 (P.S.
