Canberra City Walk๏ฝœ2-Day 1-Night Highly Efficient Travel Guide ๐Ÿšถโœจ

My trip to Canberra was almost three months ago โ€“ autumn travel photos finally posted in spring! ๐Ÿ‚โ†’๐ŸŒธ DAY 1 Melbourne โœˆ๏ธ Canberra Just a one-hour flight from Melbourne! Landed in Canberra at 1 PM. ๐ŸšŒ After arrival, bought a single trip ticket and took a bus + light rail transfer (free within 90 mins). Dropped luggage at the hotel and headed out immediately! ๐Ÿ“ Australian War Memorial Booked tickets online in advance. The exhibition hall is huge! If you have time, be sure to visit the Pool of Reflection on the top level around 4โ€“5 PM. Heard thereโ€™s a veteranโ€™s farewell ceremony daily at 5 PM. ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ ๐Ÿ“ Mount Ainslie The mountain behind the War Memorial โ€“ the best vantage point for a panoramic view of Canberra! Took an Uber up (about 10 mins). No matter how many big cities youโ€™ve seen, the sunset view from here is still breathtaking! ๐ŸŒ„โค๏ธ DAY 2 ๐Ÿ“ National Library of Australia Took a bus to the library and started the journey along the main axis. A quick walk inside the library is enough unless youโ€™re a book lover! ๐Ÿ“š ๐Ÿ“ Lake Burley Griffin Walked toward the National Gallery and stumbled upon the lakeside. Since it was autumn, there was a stunning red-leaf avenue by the lake โ€“ couldnโ€™t resist taking tons of photos! ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ“ธ ๐Ÿ“ National Gallery of Australia As the national gallery, itโ€™s totally on par with NGV! Diverse range of exhibits. I could easily spend an entire afternoon here if I had time. Behind the gallery, thereโ€™s a cute pink structure โ€“ a must-check-in spot! ๐ŸŽจ๐Ÿฉท ๐Ÿ“ Old & New Parliament Houses The Old Parliament House is now the Museum of Australian Democracy, featuring contemporary exhibits and historical artifacts from last century. The New Parliament House is massive but has limited open areas. Both offer glimpses into the Senate and House of Representatives โ€“ worth a visit as one of the few publicly accessible parliament buildings! ๐Ÿ›๏ธโœ… All second-day attractions are along one route. Bought a $10 day pass โ€“ buses covered round trips, and walking between spots was easy! Since we started late both days, we skipped some attractions like ANU and the National Museum. Both can be covered in any morning if you have time! If you have three days, consider visiting the National Arboretum โ€“ recommended by an Uber driver! Iโ€™d definitely go if I had more time ๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿคฉ #AutumnVibes #RedBookDiscovery #Canberra #CanberraLife #CanberraTravel #CanberraGuide #CanberraStudentLife #CanberraSpeedrun #AustraliaTravel #OffTheBeatenPath
