Cantonese Cuisine in Alhambra|BIG CATCH Seafood House 🐟🍲
🏠 Big Catch Seafood House 📍 2 S Garfield Ave #100, Alhambra, CA 91801 Don’t be fooled by the name — this isn’t your typical American seafood spot. Tucked away in a lively part of Alhambra, it’s actually a hidden gem for authentic Cantonese dishes! The wok-fried classics are on point, soups are comforting, and the space is modern and clean — great for hosting guests. Four of us dined here, and with tip it came to around $300 (~$75 per person). Parking is easy, too! ✅ 🍽️ Must-Try Dishes: 🐦 Crispy Roasted Pigeon ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ About the size of a palm, with skin so crispy and meat so tender. Served with cumin and lemon — even gnawing on the bones is a delight! 🦞 Lobster Yee Mein ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fresh, springy lobster lightly fried for extra texture. The sauce coats the noodles perfectly — no seafood smell, just pure umami. 🍝 Uni Pasta ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ One word: FRESH. Though the uni portion isn’t huge, it pairs wonderfully with cheese and seaweed. Rivals the famous uni pasta from that well-known ramen spot in Little Tokyo! 🥥 Coconut Chicken Soup ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Light, sweet, and packed with ingredients. Really good — but I’ve had an unforgettable two-in-one coconut chicken hot pot elsewhere in LA, so this gets four stars from me. We also enjoyed the salted fish eggplant clay pot, stir-fried cauliflower, and fish tofu soup — all solid Cantonese choices. A friend previously tried their popular Taishan eel clay pot rice and found it good but not mind-blowing, so we skipped it this time. Overall, a restaurant I’d gladly return to — excited to try more from their menu! 💯 #LAfood #SeafoodRestaurant #CantoneseFood #HiddenGemEats 🥢✨🐠
