Capitoline Museums | Hidden Gem in Rome ⛪️

✔️Not crowded, quite spacious, no lines at the entrance, I checked the website before my visit and saw that the reservation price was €17, but buying the ticket on-site cost only €13, many museums here are cheaper when purchased in person! ✔️One thing to note, the museums are connected through the basement level, so visit the first, second, and third floors first, then head down to the basement to switch to the other side of the museum. ✔️This is one of the oldest museums in the world, founded in 1471 by Sixtus IV, who donated it to the people of Rome, it is a group of art and archaeological museums located on the Capitoline Hill in Rome, Italy, including three buildings surrounding the central trapezoidal square, planned and designed by Michelangelo in 1536, with construction taking over 400 years to complete. ✔️The museum's history dates back to 1471, when Pope Sixtus IV donated a collection of ancient bronze sculptures to the people of Rome, placing them on Capitoline Hill. ✔️Since then, the museum's collection has expanded to include a vast array of Roman statues, inscriptions, and other artifacts, as well as medieval and Renaissance art, gems, coins, and more. #Rome #HiddenMuseums #Italy #ItalyTravel #RomeTravel #RomeMuseums #CapitolineMuseums
