Capture How to Train Your Dragon Vibes at Cannon Beach š
During the Independence Day long weekend, I took a trip to Portland and set aside a whole day to wander Cannon Beach at a relaxed paceāno rush, just soaking in every moment by the sea. The first highlight was Haystack Rock: up close, š„¤its towering, rugged shape is even more spectacular than in photos. š The second I laid eyes on it, I thought of How to Train Your Dragonāit looked just like the rocky perch where Toothless glides through the sky! To lean into that whimsical, movie-like feel, I tweaked the post-processing tones: softening the colors to be misty and warm yellow, as if weād stepped right into the magical world of Berk š . Ecola Point Viewpoint is another must-visit spot you canāt miss. We made two trips thereāonce at noon when the sun cast bright, clear light over the coastline, and again in the evening as the sky turned soft orange. What a nice surprise: both times, we spotted a tiny deer grazing quietly on the grass nearby,š its ears twitching now and thenālike a gentle local saying hello š¦. The little coastal town near the beach is also a joy to explore. We wandered its cozy streets, popping into small shops, and stumbled upon a casual eatery where we had amazing fish and chips (crispy on the outside, flaky insideāsuch a rare find!) and a refreshing mango smoothie that tasted like summer in a cup š. All in all, Cannon Beach is perfect for a laid-back day trip. The drive from downtown Portland is only about an hour and a half one wayāshort enough to feel easy, but far enough to feel like a lovely escape from the city š.š„¤ #CannonBeach #OregonCannonBeach #Portland #PortlandArea #HowToTrainYourDragon #LandscapePhotography #SeattleArea #IndependenceDayWeekend š
