Carmel-by-the-Sea 🇮🇹 Porta Bella

While strolling through the charming streets of Carmel, we wandered into a fairytale-like neighborhood 🌳✨. Sunlight filtered through the dense trees, casting dappled shadows everywhere. Even with all the sunshine, it felt a little chilly in the shade—so envious of the Bay Area’s perfect weather! ☀️🍃 We stopped at Porta Bella for a taste of Italy. Here’s what we tried: 🧡 Tricolor Organic Baby Beet Salad The blue cheese was pretty strong 🧀, but it paired interestingly with the sweet beets, fresh oranges, and greens. A vibrant mix! 🥗 🍝 Pasta alla Carbonara A classic done right! Rich and savory with a strong pancetta aroma 🥓, and that lovely eggy creaminess. Can’t go wrong with this one. 🐟 Grilled King Salmon The king salmon was perfectly grilled, but the real star was the mashed potatoes—so creamy and buttery 🥔💫.
