🍴 Charlotte’s The Fig Tree | My New Favorite Restaurant! 🌟

Hands down the best meal I’ve had lately—it even dethroned MOA as my top pick in Charlotte! A while back, we were eating at Peppervine and chatting with an older couple next to us. They said they try new restaurants every week, just like us! When I asked for their favorite, they immediately shouted, “The Fig Tree!” 🌳 I knew I had to book it—turns out, you need to reserve over a month in advance for a good Saturday spot! The restaurant is in a charming house—each room has tables, and the vibe is cozy but elegant, with a subtle “old money” charm ✨. Not fancy, but so inviting. Must-Try Dishes & Drinks Sparkling Pear Martini 🍸: The server recommended this—light, crisp, and perfectly balanced! So smooth, I could’ve had two. Grilled Octopus 🐙: Every table in our room ordered this—and for good reason! It’s the best grilled octopus I’ve ever had. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and I even ate all the veggies on the side. Bonus: It had a hint of Sichuan “thunder pepper preserved egg” flavor—total nostalgia win 🌶️. Filet Mignon 🥩: I usually get steak at steakhouses, but this was amazing! The blue cheese sauce on top sounds weird, but it paired perfectly. And the sides? Chef’s kiss 👩🍳. Lamb Shank 🐑: We waited an hour for this—worth it! The meat was fall-off-the-bone tender and juicy. It tasted like they slow-cooked it fresh. That said, I still preferred the octopus and filet. Next time, I want to try their unique meats: elk, bison, and veal 🦌. Every main dish comes with a free soup or salad—we had chicken soup, and it was delicious 🥣. Service was attentive and friendly—we’ll definitely be back! 💰 ~$100 per person, but the experience and quality make it so worth it. #CharlotteFood #CharlotteEats #NCFoodie #HiddenGemRestaurant #FineDining #FoodieAdventures #TheFigTreeCharlotte #NorthCarolina #CharlotteNC #FoodieHeaven #SistersTrip
