We have been waiting for Peppervine to open for a long while now, we were served by Tiffany and she was nice and professional and busy but all is good,
For starters it’s over priced for what they offer
Fried chicken starter was really good (Thai) Seafood starter was ok
Pork Berkshire was ok, we were not asked about temperature and came too rare for our taste :( and wifey wasn’t happy but we didn’t complain because we didn’t want to ruin the occasion which was celebrating the life of my mom who just passed
Dessert was really bad which is the chocolate, unsavory is the word that comes to mind and too dry! Well decorated plate that’s it, and kids who love chocolate in its all forms, tasted it and said not interested and passed and was very overpriced as well, and was very very small!! Why? If you charge 12$?!
Wife who loves Cafe Monte and Le Cochon and not so much Lumiere ;) didn’t care for that at all, not only because of the price but also for the the unimpressive expansive entrees, very ambitious menu trying to appeal to everyone! Specialty!
We were told Rib Eye was 8 ounces and 40$, really? Charge me 50 but feed me, don’t do like Mcninch ;) we laid 350$ for 2 people and ended up with Chick-fil-A afterward :) and don’t get me wrong I am not a glutton :)!!!
Now the AMBIANCE was a pleasant surprise and amazing and very artisinal indeed, and I personally loved it and enjoyed my evening and wouldn’t mind going back at all but for a formal occasion, maybe paid by work ;) but again ambiance was really nice and I did sit by the kitchen glass and enjoyed it
Yeast bread was fine, but again who charges for bread? I am usually like, Rip me off but with class and make me happy doing it! Like Del Frisco we pay 500$ for 4-5 people but you’re leaving happy and feeling content to some extent with why you were charged that much, well sorta because my wife didn’t like the latter either!! It’s her problem maybe ? Doubt it, she’s an awesome cook!
Soup was good and was 9$ and that can be ok but on the expensive side still and yes it’s an expensive restaurant and read my lips I AM EXCITED IT OPENED IN CHARLOTTE AND I will still recommend it, but won’t be my weekly spot maybe a yearly destination if you knew what I mean? If you want to impress someone!
Too bad that the Duck they offer is slices and not full drum stick or breast that’s cooked crispy like Cafe Monte, granted that’s subjective but I had to say :)
Guys, go to Charleston and check out Halls ChopHouse or Charleston Grill or Circa 1868 and the likes of these that are rated as national restaurants, and you’ll learn a lesson or two how to satisfy and edify while charging people an arm and leg! I pay same money and some every time at these restaurants and always rated them 5/5 for a reason! You leave a lot to be desired!
We paid 210$ for 3 adults 2 kids and all ate well but didn’t order for everyone and just 2 soups, lots of money and not content is a recipe for not coming back, no pun intended!
Wine selection was ok but...

Tucked into SouthPark’s Piedmont Town Center, Peppervine delivers an exceptional dining experience that seamlessly blends culinary artistry with warm hospitality.
Ambiance & Atmosphere The contemporary, art-filled interior exudes sophistication without pretension. The open kitchen offers a glimpse into the culinary craftsmanship, while the mezzanine lounge and curated artwork create a chic yet inviting setting. Despite a bustling crowd, the acoustics are thoughtfully designed, ensuring conversations remain intimate.
Culinary Highlights Peppervine’s progressive American menu emphasizes locally sourced, seasonal ingredients presented through globally inspired small and large plates. Standout dishes include the General Tso’s Cauliflower—crispy tempura florets glazed with a tangy orange sauce—and the melt-in-your-mouth yeast rolls, baked to order with Maldon salt. The 24-Hour Short Rib, served with potato mousseline and bordelaise, showcases the kitchen’s ability to elevate comfort food to fine dining.
What to wear For Peppervine in Charlotte, a smart casual to business casual dress code is ideal, with some guests opting for slightly dressier attire due to the upscale ambiance.
🔹 Recommended Attire for Peppervine:
For Women: • Stylish blouse or dressy top with tailored pants or a skirt • A chic dress or jumpsuit • Heels, dressy flats, or fashionable boots • Accessories kept elegant and understated
For Men: • Collared shirt or button-down (a blazer is a nice touch but not required) • Dress slacks or chinos • Closed-toe dress shoes or clean loafers • No tie needed, but it wouldn’t feel out of place
🔸 What to Avoid: • Athletic wear (sweatpants, gym shorts) • Flip-flops or overly casual sneakers • T-shirts with loud graphics or logos • Ripped or distressed jeans
While it’s not a formal restaurant, Peppervine’s refined setting makes it the kind of place where you’ll feel more comfortable—and match the vibe—if you’re dressed with a little polish. Think date night or upscale dinner with friends rather than super casual.
I was here for dinner with family in late December, after Christmas, 2024. The holiday vibe in the area was spot on!
Response to Owner: You’re welcome! I so enjoyed the food and can’t wait to come back again. I love supporting businesses...

From the moment I walked in, I knew the details were not forgotten in developing their concept. The ambiance is beautiful and serene. A place you want to come for a drink or linger post dining. Beautiful art, light fixtures, etc. & with the high ceilings, the volume was still quiet. My only recommendation is moving your paper rating from the table right by the hostess- not sure regulation of location but maybe by bar?
Our group of four were met with a smile and didn’t mind the few minutes my husband lagged behind. We were sat promptly at our reservation time.
Our server was friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. The bar had only one non-alcoholic beer (both the husbands requested) so I’d recommend they stock up a bit. Minor request. Our plates were quickly taken once done but never rushed. When we left to go, people were enjoying cocktails behind us upstairs in comfy chairs and I didn’t even know- another acoustic thumbs up.
I loved the simplicity of the menu and how it went from light to heavy. Our group started with the pimento cheese scones (they’re baked to order) and the pepper jelly gave the perfect sweet/spicy accompaniment to the scones - which could have stood alone.
The squid ink bucatini with octopus, tuna tartare, and mussels came out beautifully but also had flavor nuances indicative of creativity and maturity in the kitchen. I’ve included a picture of another’s main plate he said was wonderful.
We women shared two desserts- how could we not based on the rest of our meal? Both delicious but I would pick the vanilla cream cake over the peach dumpling if I had to choose. Espresso was told to me delicious for one of the guys who passed (is he crazy?!) on dessert.
Round of applause Peppervine. I shall return soon and have been raving to...
