Charming and picturesque Florence
Vibrant and Lively Street Scenes (Sunny Version) Every street view is bright, lively, and charming. The art museum is worth a visit even if you’re just skimming through. The popular T-bone steak restaurant, Ostaria dei Centopoveri, was recommended on XHS. The restaurant is spacious and doesn’t require much waiting. The menu is diverse and everything tastes great. Most of the staff are young and good-looking. The steak on the picture—they really give you a whole piece of meat!😁😁😁 Climbing the dome of the Florence Cathedral is tiring but quicker than expected. It takes about 10 to 20 minutes one way, including stops for rest. It’s an exercise most people can handle (though your legs might tremble a bit after coming down).😀😀😀 The Pitti Palace feels like an IKEA warehouse (in a good way). It’s like being overwhelmed by too many scents and needing a coffee bean to reset your sense of smell. (Using some synesthesia here.)❤️❤️❤️ We stumbled upon the underground restaurant Osteria Il Cantinone while seeking shelter from the rain, and it turned out to be delicious! The picture shows black truffle gnocchi and roasted pork, both of which were excellent. However, the owner’s attitude was so-so, and the service was slow. Since we had to leave on time to pick up our luggage and catch the train, we had to urge them a bit. We got a refusal and some condescending remarks like “No fast food, you must wait” and “You people always have flights to catch, trains to catch... We Italians don’t...” Well, I paid for the food, not for a lecture. I just came here after a long journey and wanted to catch my train. Anyway, the food was good, and I’ll remember it.😍😍😍 When we left at 9:30 PM, the sky was still light. Summer in Europe is really a great deal because the nights are short, and it feels like your day is stretched longer. #Florence #Italy #FlorenceCathedral #Dome #Uffizi #PittiPalace #Travelogue
