Checking in at Dallas' New Hong Kong-Style Teahouse: Chasu Kitchen

💯I went to this newly opened teahouse with my friends. The owner was really friendly and enthusiastic, even coming over to ask us what we thought of the food and if there was anything that could be improved. We ordered the Hong Kong-style Baked Pork Chop Rice. It was pretty good—I really liked the tomato and cheese, which had just the right amount of sweet and sour flavor. However, I felt the pork chop lacked a bit of saltiness. Personally, I prefer my pork chops to be a bit drier, so if they were a bit more so, it would be even better. 🍖The Fried Beef River Noodles tasted good at first, but my friend thought it was particularly salty, especially the meat. If you like salty flavors, this dish is worth a try. We also ordered the Singapore Fried Rice Noodles, which were quite bland and could have used a bit more salt. However, the curry flavor was quite strong. If you prefer milder flavors, this dish might be for you. Plus, it had a good variety of ingredients, both meat and vegetables, making it a great option for takeout. 🍝The Scallion Oil Pork Chop was okay, but it lacked vegetables. Besides the broccoli, there was only the pork chop, which made it a bit monotonous. For drinks, we ordered unsweetened and low-sugar milk tea, but it tasted a bit bitter. I would recommend going for full sugar or at least not too little sugar. My friend really liked the salty 7-Up, which is called Lemon Soda. It was indeed pretty good and worth recommending. #Dallas #AroundDallas #DallasLife #HongKongTeahouse
