Checking in at the world's highest Michelin-starred restaurant:

🍽️ Gourmetrestaurant Gütsch by Markus Neff🧀 📍 Bergstation Gütsch-Express, Gütsch, 6490 Andermatt Gütsch is actually the second world's highest Michelin restaurant I've visited. Last year, I went to the two-Michelin-starred 😂 The Japanese Restaurant (interested friends can check out my previous notes), which is right next to Gütsch. So, they are both the world's highest, both located at an altitude of 2344 meters. The Japanese Restaurant, as the name suggests, serves fusion Japanese cuisine, which is very delicate and emphasizes a sense of ceremony. In contrast, Gütsch offers authentic Swiss dishes (officially described as Classic French, but I find it very Swiss). It's not only high-end and delicious but also very down-to-earth. The service is warm and comfortable, making it perfect for après-ski, after a day of skiing, to enjoy some hearty dishes. 💁We skied for a full five hours that morning and returned to Gütsch to savor some warm comfort food—it was incredibly satisfying. The restaurant usually only operates during the day, offering an à la carte menu at lunchtime. These two Michelin restaurants on the mountain each have only one dinner event per month, featuring a five-course set menu. The cable car also operates specially for the event. If you want to try the set menu in the evening, be sure to check the schedule and book in advance. #WhereToGoOnVacation #WinterSkiingSpots #SwissCuisine #SwissRestaurants #SwissTravel #AprèsSki #SwissMichelin #MichelinRestaurant
