I once had a memorable brunch of foie gras scrambled eggs right at their opening during the summer; now, as I'm about to leave Chicago, I told my friends I really wanted to try their famous bacon burger ๐Ÿ” ๐Ÿ” ๐—–๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ฒ๐˜€๐—ฒ๐—ฏ๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ด๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐˜„/ ๐—ฒ๐—ด๐—ด A must-order! You can choose between single/double/triple, each about $3 apart. Their single has two patties, packed with protein. Please, everyone, add egg and bacon!! That's the essence! The burger comes open-faced with the egg. I was puzzled on how to eat it until the bartender saw me and told me to close it and cut it in the middle. After I closed it, the yolk broke and started a yolk waterfall. At that moment, I decided to go hands-on and take a bite directly. So, I opened my abyss-like mouth, trying to conquer it in one go, but only managed a small bite, just a tiny piece of bacon. But that bite is something I'll remember for a lifetime, the aroma of high protein and fats bursting together, just as you feel the greasiness, the sourness of the pickles hits your brain, balancing it out, making me feel like I can't eat burgers from anywhere else for a while. ๐Ÿฅ“ ๐—•๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—ป You could also just add bacon to your burger, but we wanted to share a separate order. It was my first time trying bacon this thick in the US, almost verging on char siu.
