Chicago | Boqueria: Instantly Transported to Spain 🇪🇸
Boqueria is my current favorite spot for affordable Spanish cuisine. The flavors are spot-on, and you can order blindly without any misses. It’s perfect for a casual meal. Plus, Amex occasionally has offers for this place, so you can snag some great deals! The first time I visited, I ordered the tasting menu, but I personally think it’s not necessary because the portions are way too big. I recommend ordering à la carte instead. 🍽️ Recommendations: - Ham (the pricier one) : So delicious! It’s not overly salty at all—I love it! - Fried Potatoes 🥔: Absolutely amazing! The potatoes are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The paprika is super fragrant, and the creamy white sauce pairs perfectly with the tomato sauce underneath, which cuts through the greasiness of the fried potatoes. They’re way better than the ones at lil’ Babareba. - Garlic Olive Oil Shrimp 🍤: You can’t go wrong with this dish! - Seafood Paella 🍛: Even the small portion is quite filling, and there’s plenty of seafood. Definitely worth a try! - Fried Artichokes : These are a bit tangy, which I personally love, but my friend wasn’t a huge fan. - Fried Tapas Platter : There are two flavors, and I remember one was truffle and ham, but the flavor wasn’t very pronounced. It’s basically like eating fried potato balls—haha. #ChicagoFoodRecommendations #Spain #SpanishCuisine
