Chicago Exclusive Exhibit | Seeing the World Through X-Ray Vision 🔍✨
Spent my weekend at the Griffin Museum of Science and Industry and discovered two incredible special exhibits—one of them absolutely blew my mind! Beyond the Surface: Where Art Meets Science 🎨⚙️ The moment I walked in, I was greeted by a row of familiar-yet-unrecognizable objects—their outer shells "peeled away," revealing intricate gears, wires, and structures through X-ray photography! The exhibit's photographer captured everyday items we take for granted, from tiny mechanical parts to massive cars and planes, transforming them into stunning blends of art and science. 🌟 The coolest part? The interactive floor projection! I accidentally stepped on a car outline, and suddenly, its skeleton lit up like magic, piece by piece. It hit me—the things we use daily hide SO much artistic detail inside! This exhibit’s simple yet profound concept made me realize: We often only see the surface of things. But if we look deeper, the world is more complex—and more beautiful—than we imagine. Spider-Man: Beyond Amazing – A Must for Fans! 🕷️🎭 The museum’s blockbuster exhibit (separate ticket required, $18) is a treasure trove for Spider-Man lovers—original comics, action figures, costumes, concept art, and more! While I’m not a huge Spidey fan, I couldn’t help but stare at the floor-to-ceiling display of vintage comics. (Let’s be real—who didn’t dream of having their own comic-book wall as a kid? 😆) 📌 Exhibit Tips: Both exhibits are on the first floor (left and right sides). Spider-Man tickets are $18—worth it for superfans! 📍 Griffin Museum of Science and Industry 💬 Let’s Discuss! Have you seen an exhibit that changed how you see everyday objects?
