Chicago Japanese Cuisine ๐ฃ | Who's Recommending Itokoโ๏ธ
It's me, it's me, it's me! ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ Every time I crave Japanese food in Chicago, Itoko is my top choice. Even though it's a bit far from downtown, it can't stop my love for it! ๐ซถ๐ป This time, I came with a friend to celebrate the end of her midterm, so I'm writing a proper review. โ๐ป ๐น TAKO KATO : My favorite appetizer for drinking ๐ The octopus is chewy, and the addition of shiso leaves and ponzu sauce takes it to another level. ๐น HAND ROLLS SET - MOMO JR. : Tuna + spicy octopus + pickled vegetable dice. The layers are rich and satisfying! โ - SHIO KOJI SALMON : Salmon + avocado mousse. Personally, I found it a bit too rich. โ - XO SCALLOP : XO sauce scallops. How could this not be delicious?! ๐ ๐น "TCD" TUNA TORO : Many people recommend this, but I didn't find it that impressive. ๐น CHEF SELECTION OF SASHIMI : A blessing for those with choice paralysis โ๏ธ. Every piece is fresh and succulent! ๐ฎ Dessert Recommendations : - Donatsu : Exploding chocolate donuts with matcha semifreddo. The skin literally bursts open when you bite into it. ๐ - Soymilk Panna Cotta : With a base of yuzu cream sauce. If you don't mind getting messy, try scooping it all the way to the bottomโit's sweet and tangy, super yummy! ๐ #Chicago #RestaurantReview #ChicagoFood #ChicagoJapaneseCuisine #Itoko #JapaneseFoodRecommendation #HiddenRestaurantGems
