Cincinnati Food | The Capital Grille Steakhouse 🥩✨
Aside from the Jeff Ruby group steakhouses, The Capital Grille is one of Cincinnati’s top high-end dining options. As a chain, it’s consistently reliable—while the dishes may not be wildly inventive, they’re executed well and hard to disappoint. The lighting was dim (hence the so-so photos 📸), but the flavors absolutely shined! Here’s what we tried: Tomahawk Veal Chop 🍖 – My all-time favorite on their regular menu! Served with mushrooms and crispy ham, the veal was incredibly tender and huge—I only finished half and saved the rest for pasta the next day. Sliced Filmet Mignon 🥩 – A classic choice with cipollini onions and roasted mushrooms. Solid and satisfying, and also generously portioned. Daily Special: A5 Wagyu Beef Steak 🌟 – Paired with roasted carrots, spinach, and black truffle shavings. Rich, buttery, and decadent—definitely for fat-marbled meat lovers! A little goes a long way. Fried Calamari 🦑 – A massive plate of crispy squid with spicy peppers. Tasty but heavy—even sharing among three of us felt like a lot. Clam Chowder 🥣 – Creamy and comforting, served with oyster crackers. Tasty, though honestly, Trader Joe’s version ($4.99) comes pretty close—this one’s richer but smaller and pricier. Ah, the fine dining premium! Sides: Brussels Sprouts & Fries 🍟 – Barely touched these since we were so full! Both were fine, but if you’re not a big eater, you could skip extra sides. Classic Cheesecake 🍰 – A must-try! Even stuffed, I couldn’t resist a bite—creamy, not too sweet, with a caramelized top like a crème brûlée-cheesecake hybrid. Best shared between two. With wine, our total came to around $100 per person—perfect for dates or celebrations! 🥂 We visited the location next to Rookwood: 3821 Edwards Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45209 Other cities have branches too, and quality should be just as good. #Cincinnati #CincinnatiEats #Steakhouse #FineDining #CapitalGrille #FoodReview #DateNight #WeekendEats 🍴🔪🎉
