Cincinnati Food | The Capital Grille Steakhouse 🥩

Besides the Jeff Ruby steakhouses, The Capital Grille is another high-end steakhouse option in Cincinnati. As part of a chain, the quality is consistently reliable. While the dishes might not be overly innovative, they’re definitely hard to mess up. The photos didn’t turn out great because the lighting was pretty dim, but the food tasted amazing! 🍖 Tomahawk Veal Chop – My favorite on their regular menu! Served with mushrooms and crispy ham chips, the veal was incredibly tender and super generous in portion. I only finished half and took the rest home to enjoy with pasta the next day. 🥩 Sliced Fillet Mignon – A classic choice with cipollini onions and roasted mushrooms. Also a large portion, as expected. ✨ Daily Special: A5 Wagyu Beef Steak – Served with roasted carrots, spinach, and black truffle shavings. Rich and decadent! Wagyu is delicious but can be a bit heavy due to its high fat content—perfect for fatty meat lovers though! 🥩 🍤 Appetizer: Fried Calamari – A huge plate of crispy calamari! The chili peppers added a nice kick, but it’s quite filling. Even sharing among three people felt like a lot. 🍲 Clam Chowder – Creamy and flavorful, served with crackers. Tasty, but honestly, Trader Joe’s $4.99 version tastes almost the same. This one is richer but smaller and twice the price—classic fine dining markup! 🥬 Sides: Brussels Sprouts & Fries – Barely touched these because I was too full! Both were decent, but if you don’t have a huge appetite, you might skip the sides. 🍰 Classic Cheesecake – Highly recommended! Even though I was stuffed, I couldn’t resist a bite. Creamy, not overly sweet, with a caramelized top that felt like a mix of cheesecake and crème brûlée. Perfect for sharing between two people. 💵 Final bill was around $100 per person (including wine).
