Cincinnati Food Exploration | Saigon Noodle Bar Vietnamese Pho
A close friend highly recommended this Vietnamese pho spot in West Chester, so I finally visited over the weekend. Not sure if my expectations were too high or if the chef was having an off day, but I was a bit disappointed. Would love to hear thoughts from others who’ve been!👌 The restaurant is clean, and the staff are very friendly. Went for a weekend lunch—it was extremely busy. Orders are taken at the table, but payment is done at the front counter. Don’t wait around at your seat! 💺 Tried the chef’s recommended udon noodles. The portion was generous, with quail eggs, char siu pork, shrimp, and shredded chicken. The udon was well-cooked, and the broth had a savory-sweet finish. My friend wasn’t a fan of the aftertaste sweetness, but I found it okay.😁 Also ordered the chef’s recommended char siu noodles. The portion was loaded with pork—I didn’t try it, but my partner thought it was decent. The regular menu beef pho came with brisket and beef meatballs. The beef quality was good, and the rice noodles were nice, but the broth was extremely salty—almost undrinkable… 🥵 We also had Vietnamese spring rolls (forgot to take a pic!), which were generously sized. After tip, the per-person cost was over $20, which felt a bit expensive. With several other great pho spots nearby, I’m not sure if it was worth it.😂 The ingredients are high-quality, and the ambiance is nice. If it was just an off day for the chef, I’d be willing to give it another shot—especially since two of my friends raved about it. But if it’s just not for me, I’ll stick to my usual pho places 👋🏻 Address: 9220 Allen Rd, West Chester Township, OH 45069 #VietnameseFood #Cincinnati #CincinnatiFood #CincinnatiEats #WeekendInCincinnati #CincinnatiFoodTalks 🍜🌙
