Cincinnati Food Review | Saigon Noodle Bar 🍜
My friends have been raving about this Vietnamese spot in West Chester, so I finally visited over the weekend! Maybe my expectations were too high, or maybe it was an off day in the kitchen, but the meal felt a bit underwhelming. Would love to hear from others who’ve tried it! 🤔 The restaurant itself is clean, and the staff were super friendly. Weekend lunch was packed and busy! A note: you order at the table, but pay at the front—don’t wait around for the check at your seat. Here’s what we tried: Chef’s Special Udon – Loaded with quail eggs, char siu, shrimp, and shredded chicken. Udon was cooked well, and the broth was savory-sweet. My friend wasn’t used to the sweet aftertaste, but I didn’t mind it. Chef’s Special Char Siu Noodles – Tons of barbecue pork! I didn’t taste it, but my partner said it was decent. Classic Beef Pho – Good quality brisket and beef meatballs, and the rice noodles were nice… but the broth was way too salty for me—almost undrinkable. 😣 We also had fresh spring rolls (forgot to snap a pic!), which were generously portioned. After tip, it came to over $20 per person, which felt a bit steep—especially since there are other great pho spots nearby. The ingredients were fresh and the space was pleasant, so if it was just an off day, I’d give it another try… but if the flavors aren’t for me, I’ll gladly return to my other go-to pho places! 👋 📍 Address: 9220 Allen Rd, West Chester Township, OH 45069 #VietnameseFood #Cincinnati #CincinnatiEats #PhoLover #FoodReview #WestChesterEats #WeekendBites #NoodleBar 🍲✨
