Citywalk: A Small Town Ranked Top 4 in the U.S.
I traveled from Raleigh to Greenville for a work trip—it took about 4.5 hours by car. Along the way, you’ll pass through Charlotte, and I highly recommend stopping there for a break and checking out some great eats! 1️⃣ First Stop: Falls Park on the Reedy This waterfall is stunning—totally Instagram-worthy! The way the water flows through the park, surrounded by greenery, makes it such a pretty spot to wander or snap photos. Even if you’re just there for a quick walk, it’s worth the detour to soak in the view 🌊. 2️⃣ Next: Plant Shop + Coffee & Milk Tea Right near the falls, we found a charming plant shop that also serves coffee and milk tea. It’s super Instagram-friendly (think lots of natural light and cute decor!) with a huge variety of plants—from small succulents to tall potted ferns 🌿. After grabbing a drink, we walked over to Main Street, where there are tons of secondhand shops. We even stumbled on some cute brick-lined alleys along the way—such a cozy, vibe-y area to explore. 3️⃣ Dinner: CAMP (Highly Recommended!) This spot is a must-try! It’s similar to a tapas restaurant, serving small plates perfect for sharing. The Gambas (garlic shrimp) and Skirt Steak Pinchos were absolute standouts—full of flavor, cooked just right. Their cocktails are delicious too; we tried a few fruity ones that paired perfectly with the food 🍤🥩. 4⃣️ Post-Dinner Dessert: Jeni’s Ice Cream Right next to CAMP is Jeni’s Ice Cream—they have a location in Charlotte too, and I’m obsessed! Their flavors are so creative (no boring vanilla here!). I highly recommend Brambleberry Crisp and their yogurt-based flavor—it’s creamy, tangy, and not too sweet. The perfect way to end the day 🍦. Overall, this work trip was a nice mix of productivity and fun—I really fell for Greenville’s small-town charm. If you’re looking for a laid-back getaway, it’s definitely worth the drive! #Raleigh #RaleighDayTrips #NorthCarolinaRTP #NorthCarolinaEats #NorthCarolinaWeekendGuide
