Columbus Food Recap — Tasty Eats This Year (Non-Chinese Edition) 😋

🇮🇹 Del Mar Really delicious — especially loved the lobster pasta and octopus legs, chewy and well-seasoned. The décor is also gorgeous — even little corners are super photogenic! 📸 (Though a friend said quality control is hit or miss — one out of two visits was disappointing.) 🪑 RH Rooftop Restaurant Three floors — the bottom two sell shiny, upscale furniture ✨. Lobster roll, roast chicken, and stir-fried broccoli were decent. The broccoli surprisingly stood out! Other dishes were pretty average though. 🔥 Fireproof Forgot to take food pics 😅 — sharing a little vibe shot instead! Located on High St., easy parking. Spanish fusion with small plates (portions are indeed small). Main course options were limited — ordered a pasta that wasn’t good 😬. Small plates were okay: lobster tacos (tiny, only 3!) and tuna tartare (tasty!). Service was meh — even on my birthday, the server wasn’t particularly warm 🙄. 🇪🇸 Barcelona (German Village) Perfect for dinner + a stroll around the neighborhood afterward! Big portions — loved the octopus rice and Barcelona paella. Their creamy mussels are my #2 favorite in Columbus 😆. Also tried some shrimp appetizers — all delicious! Already a returning customer. Beautiful restaurant inside! 🌿 Mandrake (High Street) Features a large patio. Bang Bang Shrimp was delicious — feels like Japanese-American fusion. They serve sushi and grass-fed meat entrees (which have a distinct taste I’m not huge on). Previously had a "Peking duck" style dish, but it’s off the menu now 🥸. Great view of Columbus skyline from the patio at night! 🏙️ Vaso Spanish rooftop spot. Paella is generous and tasty, though not as authentic as Barcelona’s. Crab cake was nice — other small plates didn’t wow me. Nice ambiance though! 🍝 Carrabba’s Italian Grill Forgot to take pics here too 😅. Their creamy mussels are hands-down the BEST in Columbus — so good we used bread to scoop up every bit of sauce! Lobster ravioli was creamy but could get heavy. Their tomato-based pasta beats all cream-based ones here. Super good value and flavor! 🤤 🍷 Tucci’s Just okay — the red wine braised short ribs and soup were good. Grilled items had a slightly burnt, bitter taste. Might try once, but probably not returning. #ColumbusRestaurants #ColumbusFood #OhioStateUniversity #OhioFood 🍴🌟
