Concord: A Cultural & Historic Town Near Boston
Concord isn’t just a town—it’s a pilgrimage spot for anyone who loves literature and history! 📚 For fans of American thought and writing, this place feels almost sacred—so many literary giants once called it home: Ralph Waldo Emerson, the “Father of American Civilization”—thinker, writer, and author of Nature; Nathaniel Hawthorne, novelist and author of The Scarlet Letter; Henry David Thoreau, thinker, writer, and author of Walden; Louisa May Alcott, author of Little Women; And poet William Ellery Channing. This time of year, Concord is stunning—beauty is everywhere you look! 🍂 I spent most of the day exploring the Concord Museum and the Alcott House (Orchard House, where Little Women came to life). When I got home, I immediately put on the Little Women movie to “immerse” myself more—and there’s a line from Marmee (the mother) that I absolutely loved: ' “I want my daughters to be beautiful, kind, talented; loved and respected; happy in their youth, and blessed in their marriages. May God watch over them, keep them as free from care as possible, and let them live a joyful, meaningful life…” It perfectly captures the warmth of the town and the stories it holds ❤️. #USATravel #InternationalStudents #SceneryOnTheRoad #BostonWaldenPond #BostonAreaTrips #BostonFallFoliage
