Culver Hotel โ Hidden French Gem with Live Cello & Old Movies ๐ป๐๏ธ
Sharing a spot thatโs still under the radar โ an elegant French restaurant tucked inside the historic Culver Hotel. Ambience is everything here: Classic, nostalgic, intimate. Live cello music ๐ถ + black-and-white films projected on a big screen. Felt like stepping into a different era. We ordered: ๐ Squid appetizer โ tender and well-seasoned ๐ฅ Baguette with beef tartare โ delicious combo ๐ Truffle pasta โ rich, creamy, with a raw egg mix-in (next level!) ๐ฅฉ Steak โ buttery smooth, generous portion with fresh greens Only letdown: dessert ๐ฎ The jam tasted like cough syrupโฆ ๐ Stumbled upon this place by accident โ the exterior reminded me of the Bund in Shanghai! And inside? Even more magical. After dinner, we walked to the open-air cinema nearby (so many people!), then grabbed ice cream at Salt & Straw ๐ฆ Rare to find in LA: a walkable, vibey area that feels straight out of Asia. Perfect for date night, slow evenings, or when you just want to feel fancy without trying too hard. #CulverHotel #FrenchInLA #HiddenGems #LiveMusicDining #LAVibes #DateNightLA #WalkableLA #EatLikeLocal
