Dallas:DAQ Korean Style Cuisine & Chicken
😋I've been meaning to write about this place since I visited two weeks ago, and I've recently seen quite a few posts about it. Overall, I think it's quite good and highly recommend it. When we went, the barbecue place next door had a long line, but this restaurant wasn't very crowded. However, the atmosphere inside was great, with K-pop music and small table lamps at each table. It should be considered Korean fusion cuisine, which is different from typical Korean food. The advantage is that none of the dishes are overly salty, and the waiter was very nice. We chose the 4 dishes combo from the menu, where you can select one dish from each category. 🥢 SO-TTEOK-SO-TTEOK (Sausage and Rice Cake Skewers) The flavor of this dish is something you can imagine just by looking at the picture, but the fried rice cake with the sweet sauce reminded me of the pork rib rice cake from Shanghai. The rice cake was more delicious than the sausage. 🥢 FRIED CHICKEN GIZZARD (Fried Chicken Gizzards) I ordered this out of curiosity since I've never had it before. The gizzards are coated in flour, fried, and served with yellow mustard sauce. Fried food is generally tasty, but gizzards are not really suitable for frying; they're too tough. 🥢 UNI BIBIMBAB (Sea Urchin Bibimbap) This was the best dish of the night. I really enjoyed the flavor; the sauce was very special, not as sweet and greasy as traditional Korean bibimbap sauce. It was particularly fragrant, and I'll definitely order it again next time. The side dishes were also different from the traditional ones, and the flavors blended very well. 🥢 SPICY BRAISED CHICKEN FEET (Stewed Chicken Feet) These chicken feet really had a Chinese flavor, making me feel like I was eating homemade pig's trotters. It's not the typical Korean spicy sauce flavor; it's quite light and full of collagen, haha. #DallasCuisine #KoreanFood #SweetCuresAll
