We came here around 6:30pm on Saturday and the place had no wait but definitely packed. Food was pretty good (we did the 4 set combo) and overall Korean pub like vibes. However we had some unreasonable service from an older lady that sat us down.
She first smiled and spoke Korean to us to sit us down but we’re not Korean so we responded in English and she looked annoyed.
Originally came for the yellowtail special that my friend had tried the day before. I showed her photos and asked if we could order it, and she said they ran out. This isn’t a problem, if you’re out you’re out we understand. The problem was two people (Korean-speaking) sat down next to us after we ordered and actually ordered it! I even asked them if they pre-ordered it and they said no. I don’t know what possible reason there could be to lie to us.
While we were ordering the lady looked pretty annoyed and we felt rushed. Right after we put in the order we asked to switch one item and she said no. We said that’s okay we understand. ~5 min later a younger girl came to take our order too so we just asked about the food swap and she said it’s possible and went to change it. Again, don’t understand what possible reason there can be to lie to us.
Food ratings Korean shrimp and chive pancake. Tasty but very oily in the bottom that made it soggy. Wouldn’t re-order. 2/5 Yuzu tomato salad. Light and refreshing and enjoyed the tomatoes that were infused with the yuzu flavor. 4/5 Chicken bulgogi. Standard flavor profile and tasted decent, but nothing special in this area of town. 3/5 Yu-rin-gi. Very delicious fried chicken pieces on some lettuce with chopped peppers in a Thai-esque sour sauce. My favorite of the night. 5/5
All in all we did enjoy the food but I can’t make a believable excuse as to why we were...
Read moreI recently visited DAQ!!! after hearing the buzz about their newly launched menu. Let me get straight to the point — this place is a real hidden gem. Especially the mulhoe (cold spicy seafood soup) and yukhoe sashimi (raw beef slices) — they’re absolutely perfect for those hot summer days when your appetite disappears. The mulhoe was a masterpiece. The icy, tangy-sweet broth filled my mouth with refreshing flavor, and the harmony of fresh seafood and crisp vegetables was just incredible. One bite in and I thought, “Wow, this is the real deal.” Mixing rice into the broth made it even better — it felt like the summer heat just melted away. And then came the yukhoe sashimi! The texture of the beef was so tender and silky, it practically melted in my mouth. Dipping it lightly in the nutty sesame oil sauce brought out even more flavor. If you're a meat lover, this dish is a no-brainer — you have to try it. But what truly made this place stand out was the warm hospitality and sharp sense of the manager, Kim . She explained the menu with such care and made every guest feel genuinely welcomed. Thanks to her, the food tasted even better. With someone like her running the show, it’s no wonder people keep coming back. Great food, great vibe, and amazing service — this place has it all. I’m definitely coming back with friends next time to enjoy it all over again. Highly...
Read moreSo here's my story order wings find out late that they are bone in wings which I personally don't enjoy eating publicly. I request while they are still in the kitchen if I could opt for the tenders. Before checking anything the servers go on about how it can't be changed because it's already cooked. That part I understand completely what I don't understand is why they felt the need to keep lecturing me about why it can't be done 4 "I understand" s later. I also didn't appreciate when someone dining with me tried to order the tenders as well to try to remedy the situation and I declined and the server full blown laughed at me for not eating the bone in wings while declining the tenders to also end up on the bill. There are just way too many other great food options in the area for behavior like this at prices like they are. Maybe I've been spoiled but every other high end or pricey place I've been someone comes by midway through your dining experience to check how the food was. If you genuinely didn't enjoy it every other high end place tries to help. I didn't want to weasel my way into free food I just wanted something I'd...
