Dallas | A Toddler-Friendly Weekend of Food & Fun šŸ”„

Playdate at a FREE indoor playground šŸ“ Irving Bible Church After years in the area we finally discovered this hidden gem. GPS drops you at a seemingly empty campus; loop the building until you spot parked cars—those mark the correct entrance. Right inside sits a colorful play structure best suited for 4–5-year-olds. Parents can’t climb, so my two-year-old stuck to the lower sections and open floor. In the back there’s a party room; within an hour we watched two birthday celebrations roll through—clearly a weekend tradition here. ✨Dinner: Korean BBQ at JOA Grill Five adults + two toddlers = 30-minute wait, but it was worth it. Starters • Seasoned raw beef (sesame-oil based) on crispy nori—beef was a hit, nori just okay. • Complimentary fried dumplings (glass-noodle filling) as an apology for the wait. šŸ”„Main We ordered the ā€œTaste of JOAā€ set (meant for three) and every cut was stellar. A staff member manned the grill so we only had to eat. Sides included salad, rice, doenjang-jjigae, and banchan. Extra dumplings and steamed egg also appeared—more wait-time compensation. Kids Beef fried rice with egg and cheese corn—both devoured. ✨Finale Everyone chose pecan or Oreo ice-cream, on the house. Verdict Fantastic experience (minus the wait), perfect portions, and plenty left on the menu for round two. We’ll be back. #DallasLife #WeekendWithKids #DallasEats #FamilyDateNight
