Dallas | Barcelona Wine Bar Never Disappoints

One of the pleasant surprises since moving to Dallas has been Barcelona Wine Bar. It was my favorite tapas place in Boston, and I never expected to find a branch here in Dallas after all these years. 馃搷 5016 Miller Ave, Dallas. It鈥檚 located in the Lower Greenville area, just one block away from Knox Street, separated by I-75. 馃敟I鈥檝e been here twice in the one and a half months since I moved, and it鈥檚 likely to become my go-to spot. The decor and vibes are almost identical to the one in Brookline, Boston鈥擴-shaped bar, cabinets adorned with green plants, and bistro lights on the patio. I wonder if they鈥檒l have live music during the weekend brunch? The classic dishes are very similar, though of course, the seasonal menu does change. 鉁匱oday we ordered: Two glasses of extra sweet white sangria and one Negroni with prosecco. When I was in Spain馃嚜馃嚫, I took a cooking class specifically to learn how to make sangria. It turns out that Spaniards add a lot of sugar, which makes their sangria particularly delicious. So, in the US, I prefer sweeter sangria. The Negroni with prosecco was really good; I might try it without gin next time to see how it tastes. 鉁匧omo Ib茅rico de Bellota. I鈥檓 used to eating jam贸n ib茅rico (Iberian ham), but today I tried lomo ib茅rico for the first time. This is cured meat made from the loin of Iberian pigs that feed on acorns. I found the flavor to be much milder. To be honest, I still prefer the richer taste of jam贸n ib茅rico, but if you find the flavor of jam贸n too strong, you might want to give lomo ib茅rico a try. #Dallas #DallasLife #DallasCuisine #DallasEats #NorthAmericanLife
