Dallas | Let's Talk About Recent Handroll Experiences

1️⃣ The Klass Handroll Bar 📍2558 Royal Ln, in the old Koreatown. Newly opened, and you can just walk in. The ambiance is quite unique—green wallpaper, green table lamps, crystal chandeliers hanging above each table, and patterned carpets on the floor. The whole decor has a kind of Gatsby-esque extravagance. The handrolls are really good, with very generous ingredients. What's special is that the nori is wrapped in plastic film to keep it crispy and moisture-free, which I think is a great touch! We ordered shishto pepper and sweet corn, and each of us got a handroll set (which you can customize). I had ebi, uni, toro, chili scallop, and shrimp. I can't remember what my husband ordered. 💰 The total bill was $150 before tax. 2️⃣ Nori Handroll Bar 📍 2814 Elm St, in the Deep Ellum area. You can just walk in. The entire restaurant is just a long bar with seating, which gives it a very authentic Japanese🇯🇵 vibe. I was eating alone, so sitting at the bar was very comfortable. If you're with a group, it might not be as convenient for conversation. Their handrolls are the pre-made kind, and the nori is also very crispy. The menu has more options than Klass, with a variety of appetizers, nigiri, and sashimi to choose from. #JapaneseCuisine #RestaurantReview #LifeInNorthAmerica #Dallas #FoodAndFun #WeekendExploration
