What was great: The baked crab roll, shrimp tempura roll, salmon roll & sashimi were delicious!
What was not great: We arrived at 6pm- well before the dinner rush-to an empty restaurant. Our party of 3 was informed that this was a cashless establishment and that there was a 16% service charge added to every check.(fine) We were seated at our chairs and promptly asked if we were made aware of their policy of cashlessness and the 16% service charge. (Fine- I’m sure they were just making sure we understood their policy.) We ordered a bottle of sake, 2 appetizers and one of every handroll on the menu to share amongst 3 people. (Our bill was over $200- we weren’t being stingy.) We were told there were no knives in the establishment, so our roll maker broke each roll into 3 uneven pieces and served them to us. We had a 4th guest join us unexpectedly (there were plenty of seats available and no patrons waiting for a seat) and, when he went to order some of his own rolls, he was told that he couldn’t order food because of the wait for people to eat(??- there were many empty chairs and no wait out front). We (the 3 originals) simply ordered additional rolls and we were served, so we just passed them over to our 4th. It was just so strange- I’ve honestly never been to a restaurant with so many rules for their patrons. (No cash accepted, the built-in gratuity despite service quality, and the ‘no food for you’ rule if you show up in the middle of the meal.)

Read moreI had a really great time dining here! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted kindly by the hostess. It wasn't busy at the time (I think I went around 6pm with my girlfriend on a Tuesday night? We were told by our friends to come early as possible to avoid a long wait). She told me about the no cash policy and the 16% gratuity (interesting). We were seated promptly and our waitress immediately greeted us and introduced herself and the chef.
We started off with a bottle of the Born Gold sake (highly recommend, SUPER SMOOTH, elegant, and gentle). For appetizers we had the salmon sashimi and Brussels sprouts. The salmon sashimi was really fresh and buttery. It MELTED in my mouth! I've never eaten Brussels sprouts fried like this before and they were very good also. Savory and somewhat sweet.
For our hand rolls, our server recommended us to split the hangry, so we did that. It came with I believe 6 hand rolls for $31. We enjoyed each and every one we tried. I don't think I could choose a favorite. I think maybe a tie between the toro and the spicy scallop...
Service was overall good. Server was attentive and very knowledgeable about where each fish came from. Their music playlist had me reminiscing about middle school days (oh gosh, haha). Restaurant looked clean and the design was very minimal.
As we were leaving, the bar started to fill up. Definitely try to come early as possible, or prepare to wait a while. I can't wait...
Read moreAs this place is under new ownership, I feel it’s imperative to update my review. To start: The quality of fish and service are on par with nobu, uchi, and sugarfish. I’ve been coming to Nori for lunch and dinner for over two years now, and I still come for a meal at least once a week if not twice. This is a fantastic spot for lunch or dinner, especially with their happy hour specials on weekdays. Service is quick and personable every time.
Everything I’ve tried on the menu has yet to disappoint me, whisky selection is excellent, and cocktails are very tasty. I’ve gotten great service here from staff each time and the sushi chefs make great recommendations if you’re looking to try something new. I highly recommend the madai hand roll, wagyu sashimi, and hirame nigiri. I order a red crab hand roll here every time. Nori gets their desserts are from Oh! Mai goodness!! and they are absolutely a delicious ending to their meals. Head chef Mason, Saul, Charlie, and Peter always take great care in preparing dishes and Audi, Cindy, David, and Cole are such wonderful servers every time. The whole team really makes this place feel like a home. I absolutely love this restaurant. Do not sleep on this place!! 10/10...
