Dallas | Three - Hour Drive Just for This Beef Knee Bone Soup
🌷I absolutely love this place. Although they don’t have many dishes, what they do offer is truly exceptional. I once drove to Dallas on a weekend and ate here twice in two days, even taking some to - go portions back to Austin. If there’s any downside to this place, it’s that if you’re not into soup, there’s not much else to order here... I’ve been here countless times and tried almost everything on the menu. Here are my thoughts: Firstly, their rice is amazing!✅ I’m not usually a fan of rice, but I can easily finish a whole bowl here. The grains are perfectly chewy, tender, and full - flavored. It’s really fragrant! ✅✅ Various Beef Dishes in White Broth 🌷Their signature is probably the beef knee bone soup. All the dishes with white broth are delicious. If you’re dining in a group, I highly recommend ordering the large pot, which comes with everything and can be topped up with extra meat. Among the meats in the white broth, the ox knee is a must - try, followed by ox tail. The brisket is the least impressive. The white broth itself is really tasty. The dipping sauce for the meat is also fantastic! Mixing in the yellow mustard is truly a game - changer. I’d love to get the recipe for this dipping sauce. All the beef soup restaurants in Austin pale in comparison because of their lack of a good dipping sauce! ✅ Tteokguk (Rice Cake Soup) The broth for the rice cake soup is different from the beef white broth, but it’s also delicious. The one I had was a bit salty, and there were quite a lot of carbs. The flavor of the broth reminded me a bit of my grandmother’s egg drop noodle soup. #WeekendPlans #Austin #FoodieAdventures #LocalFoodRecommendations
