Dallas | Today Is Taco Day!

🔶First, let me say that this is my personal must-eat list, and it’s very subjective, so take it with a grain of salt! Today’s meal is one of my friends’ and my weekly must-haves. 🔶At this place, we only ever order three things: beef cheek, beef tongue, and the hot dog (which I think is pretty average). Today, we got 15 beef cheek tacos, 5 beef tongue tacos, and 1 hot dog. Including the tip, it came to $50 for the two of us. The beef cheek is grilled, while the beef tongue is boiled. I think the grilled meat is more flavorful! 🔥I usually add some onions and cilantro to the complimentary bean soup. Each taco comes with two corn tortillas, but I think the ratio of tortilla to meat is off, so I tear one tortilla in half. 🌟The first time we tried this place was because it’s open until 2 a.m., and it was the only place open at that hour. Surprisingly, it was really good! Since then, it’s become a regular spot for us. The waiter here doesn’t speak a word of English, so we’ve learned two Spanish words: cabeza (beef cheek) and lengua (beef tongue). Today, we noticed a sign saying they’ll be opening at 6 a.m. from now on! Another breakfast spot near Plano/Richardson! However, there aren’t many tables inside, so we usually take our order to go.
