El Taco Loco al Vapor — Restaurant in Plano

This tiny little restaurant is a real hidden gem. It's in the hood but these are the best places. It has about 4 tables inside so during peak times you're going to want to order to go. The food was incredible. Starting with the piping hot spicy charro beans. These were so good I had to jack half of my wife's. We had a super yummy large agua de melon $7 and a regular $3.50. Highly recommend. My order consisted of 2 fajita tacos, cachete taco ($2.05 each) and 2 lengua tacos ($2.75 each) my wife had 2 tacos de carnitas and 2 tacos de fajita ($2.05 each) All of the meats were well seasoned and everything tasted fresh. I had never had cachete and I really enjoyed it. The green salsa was on point and the red one wasn't too overpowering like at some other places. I visited on my way home from the gym for a quick taco plate to-go and was not disappointed! Service was quick and friendly, and my pastor tacos were yummy! My only complaint is that for the price the tacos should be a little bigger or there should be more tacos--the taqueria I used to frequent in Houston served 5 tacos (also with rice and beans, cilantro/diced onion, salsas, grilled onions and a grilled jalapeno) for the same price. So, I wish for a little more tacos in the plate that I bought. But, I will still return and get the plate again! The salsas are great and the rice and beans weren't anything special but I enjoyed them and have no complaints! Delicious! This is a small place, just a couple tables. The tacos are really, really good. They are not big tacos, but they high quality. Probably need to order 3 or 4 to make a full meal, so about $10 to $15? Way better than you would get at most taco joints. I ordered 2 shrimp tacos for an afternoon snack, and they really hit the spot. On the side were cucumber and radish slices, and a baked pearl onion.
