Dallas 🌴 Jamaican Food Truck Oxtail Rice Meal – Totally Worth It!

👨‍🍳 LynnRich Jamaican Cuisine 📍 2303 Pittman St, Dallas, TX 75208 🥕I went there today after seeing it recommended online yesterday. The place is a bit out of the way, tucked away in a small alley. After looking around, I finally spotted the legendary food truck deep in a roadside yard (there were no signs at all). If it hadn’t been for the Jamaican flag hanging there, I would have thought I was in the wrong place. 🥔 I asked if there was a menu, and the guy calmly said, “No menu. I just tell customers what I have today.” So, I took a deep breath and asked, “So, what do you have today?” He replied, “Fish, oxtail, and the chicken is sold out.” The Jamaican beef patty I wanted wasn’t available. So, I ordered red snapper and oxtail. With tax, it came to $60, which is a bit pricey for a food truck meal. The guy said it would take 15 minutes. When I got it, it felt really heavy. I got home, opened the box, took a bite, and it was so good I almost licked the plate clean. 🫒First off, the rice with beans was so flavorful. The firm rice mixed with soft beans had just the right amount of salt, and the seasoning was so fresh and aromatic that I could eat three bowls of it just by itself. There were also carrots, onions, and pickled vegetables that were tangy and spicy, with endless flavor. The fish was perfectly fried, so crispy that the bones were edible. The oxtail was chewy and tender, just right—not falling off the bone but still easy to bite into. ⭐️In summary, the oxtail was tender, juicy, and delicious. The fish was fresh, crispy, and delightful. No wonder it has a 4.9 rating; I guess the only reason it didn’t get a perfect score is because of the price. #DallasFood #NeverDisappointed #JamaicanCuisine #FoodTruck
