Dallas Food | Authentic Spanish Spicy Sausage
🐷I was craving some wine and tapas, so I headed to Barcelona Wine Bar. Perhaps because it was brunch time, the menu had fewer options compared to their popular dishes. (I couldn’t find oysters or scallops.) I ordered a ham platter, which included two types of meat and one cheese. The sausage was very mildly spicy with a rich smoky flavor—it was more like a non-spicy sausage. The Jamón was just like regular supermarket ham (even though it was highly recommended). 🦀The cheese came with a small piece similar to hawthorn jelly, which was sweet and tangy, and really delicious. For the main dishes, I ordered pork belly, a truffle sandwich, and a fish dish. 🍗The pork belly was fantastic—crispy on the outside, tender and juicy inside. The slightly spicy and tangy pepper on top was refreshing. However, a small piece cost $10, which felt a bit pricey. 🐮The truffle sandwich had a strong truffle aroma, with crispy, toasted bread filled with ham and cheese. It came with a garlic-infused sauce on the side, which was a great match. The Mahi Mahi fish... oh dear, it was the driest and most fishy-tasting fish I’ve ever had. Fortunately, after giving feedback, they very kindly removed the dish from my bill. (If you ever encounter something unpalatable at a restaurant, don’t hesitate to let the waiter know—it’s their job to help.) I also enjoyed a glass of Sangria, a sweet and refreshing drink that paired perfectly with the meal. The wine list is quite extensive, making it a great spot for a leisurely dinner with a glass of wine. #food #MeatLover #SpanishCuisine #DallasFood
