Dallas Food | Two Visits in One Week to Malacca Cafe 🥢

Thanks to my colleague for recommending this Malaysian restaurant, Malacca Cafe, in Southlake! It’s added another great option for our weekday lunches and was so good that we ended up going twice in one week!! 🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹 Recommended Dishes 1️⃣ Hainanese Chicken Rice ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I never expected to find such delicious Hainanese Chicken Rice at a Malaysian restaurant! The chicken is tender, juicy, and perfectly cooked, and the accompanying sauce is great! But what really impressed me was the chicken fat rice—it’s incredibly fragrant and delicious on its own, and even better when paired with the chicken! Malacca Cafe is quickly becoming our go-to spot haha. The ambiance is lovely, though the only downside is that it’s in Southlake, so the prices are a bit steep at $17-$20 per dish. But the portions are reasonable for the price! 2️⃣ Stir-Fried Kway Teow (CKT) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This dish had so much wok hei (that unique smoky flavor from stir-frying)! It’s packed with seafood—fish cakes, squid, and large shrimp. It’s such a great value and disappears off the plate in no time! #RestaurantRecommendation #RestaurantShare #WeeklyFoodCheckin
