Dallas Journal: A Collision of Cowboy Charm and Artistic Spirit 🤠

#WhereToTravelOnVacation Some cities are like an open book, while Dallas is a page accidentally flipped by the wind—ink mixed with the scent of smoke and harboring untamed wildness. This city, wrapped in oil, jazz, and unfinished Western dreams, grows wild in the folds of North Texas. šŸ–¼ļø Dallas Museum of Art This is an absolutely underrated gem. The 5th floor’s Asian gallery features a magical combination of Ming Dynasty blue-and-white porcelain and cowboy sculptures. The best part? It’s completely free (though you need to book in advance). Founded in 1903, the museum is one of the top ten art museums in the U.S., with collections spanning 5,000 years of history, from ancient Egypt to modern art. The permanent exhibitions are divided into contemporary, classical, European, and American art. The artists include both local creators and internationally renowned masters like Claude Monet, Pablo Picasso, Georgia O’Keeffe, and Vincent van Gogh. šŸ”ø There are also countless Chinese artifacts. šŸ“œ The Sixth Floor Museum This museum was actually built to commemorate the Kennedy assassination. Through extensive historical materials, photos, videos, and artifacts, it meticulously reconstructs the world-shocking event. (Interestingly, the Dallas Museum of Art, the Sixth Floor Museum, and the Kennedy Memorial Plaza are all in the same area.) āœˆļø American Airlines Center & Headquarters Aviation enthusiasts will be thrilled! It’s said that Texans have aviation fuel in their veins. As the headquarters of American Airlines, this place is not only the home of the Dallas Mavericks but has also hosted countless concerts. 🌿 Food Visiting a cowboy town without trying smoked beef ribs is like not visiting at all. During my days in Dallas, I basically had steak every day... Texas-style, smoked with 20-year-old oak wood, the juices burst out when you tear the meat. Ordering tips: šŸ”ŗ 16oz ribeye + grilled jalapeƱos šŸ”ŗ Must-have sauce: Pepper BBQ šŸ”ŗ Side dish: Definitely get the grilled asparagus; it’s even better than the main course! 🤠 Dallas Culture and People A city full of cowboy charm, the people here are very warm and generous. Just like Texas’s slogan ā€œEverything is bigger in Texas,ā€ the food, architecture, and events all give a sense of grandeur. PS: There are also gun experience and shooting experiences available. For just $100, you can get a basic training session and hands-on practice. I hesitated for a long time and didn’t dare to go, and now I feel a bit regretful. Tips: • Museums are closed on Mondays/Tuesdays. • Popular steak restaurants recommend booking two days in advance. #MuseumsWorthVisiting #StudyAbroadPlog #StudentTravel #TravelingTheWorld #Dallas
