Dallas Newcomer Croissant @ Le Reve

⭐️Today, I finally tried the spiral-shaped-filling-with-cream-supreme-croissant (spiral-shaped filling with supreme cream multi-layered puff pastry bread?), which has been available in Dallas for nearly two months and still requires a queue. It's quite a summer spectacle. (Interestingly, I found out that by a little after one o'clock, there was no one in line. If you don't mind missing out on some flavors and want to avoid the queue, you could come at an off-peak time.) Today, I sampled four different flavors of croissants, two flavors of gelato, coffee, and a small cake. 🍝The four distinctive croissants were blueberry lemon, hazelnut chocolate, pistachio, and passion fruit. My favorite was chocolate, while my companion preferred passion fruit. The cream/filling itself wasn't particularly greasy, and compared to other American desserts, the sweetness was somewhat restrained. The blueberry lemon was the sweetest of the bunch. The croissants were a bit cold when eaten; they would have been even better straight out of the oven! The gelato was average, similar to what you'd find in other shops. I quite enjoyed the coffee here. While it might not be as cost-effective as Starbucks, it paired well with the bakery items. The cake I randomly chose was a pleasant surprise—delicious and with many layers. The owner is an idealistic, ambitious, and creative pastry chef. It's no surprise that he produces such wonderful creations❤️ (Incidentally, I should commend the owner for offering ice water to customers waiting in line✨.) The special croissants are only available on weekends (starting at 11 am on Saturdays and 12 pm on Sundays). By around 12:30 pm, the crème brûlée had already sold out... I missed out. If any of you got to try it, I'd love to hear about it~✨ Next door is another extremely popular restaurant. Today was a carb overload, but I'm planning to visit next time to experience it❤️ #Dallas #DallasCuisine
