Dallas Restaurant Review: Bavarian Grill
🥟On Friday, I visited a German🇩🇪-themed restaurant called Bavarian Grill with a friend. It's a place I had been wanting to try for a long time. Having never had authentic German cuisine before, I found it quite appealing to our Eastern palates, especially for meat lovers. The atmosphere and decor of the restaurant were very detailed, exuding a strong German vibe. From the miniature train running through the restaurant to the live German folk music, it felt like a trip to a German countryside. Unfortunately, I was so focused on enjoying the food that I forgot to take some photos inside the restaurant. Roasted Pork Knuckle 🍖 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A must-order! Unlike Chinese methods of braising or marinating, this knuckle is roasted to a crispy, fragrant exterior while remaining tender and juicy inside. The lean meat is not tough, and the meaty tendons are not greasy. Served with tangy red cabbage, it's a perfect combination to cut through the richness. The only downside is the wait time, but good food is always worth the wait. Sausage Platter ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The small platter comes with two types of sausages, while the large one features five different kinds as shown in the picture. Each sausage has its own unique flavor. My favorite was the white one, which seemed to be a chicken sausage. It was very fragrant, bouncy, and juicy. The accompanying potato salad and German sauerkraut were also excellent matches. Large Pretzel ⭐️⭐️⭐️ This was a hit with my friend who loves lye bread. While I'm not particularly a pretzel fan, who can resist freshly baked, hot carbs? The pretzel was perfectly baked and had a nice chewy texture. #GermanCuisine #Dallas #DallasLife #DallasFood #GermanFood
