💐The sign has been up for a while, and this week they finally opened for a trial run. In my opinion, there were no disappointing dishes. There were a few that I really liked. ✨The downside is that the menu is a bit limited, mostly main courses. It's still a great place to go for a quick meal. Some of the dishes were a bit salty, I wonder if that's a characteristic of Shanghai cuisine, or maybe you can ask for less salt. The dishes I ordered: 1️⃣ Fried Rice! Made with lard, but the fresh vegetables balance out the oil. It’s incredibly fragrant. I was almost full when this dish arrived, but I still managed to finish it. 2️⃣ Shanghai Soup Dumplings There’s a transparent kitchen at the entrance where you can see several aunties making the soup dumplings. The dough portions are super cute and small. The dumpling skin is thin and the broth is very flavorful. 3️⃣ Stir-fried Rice Cakes This dish is on the salty side, but the rice cakes are soft and chewy. It’s really hard to stop eating them. Next time, I want to try the glass noodle soup. It looks really good on other tables. Since it just opened and the place is small, there’s a wait. You can ask if they take reservations.
