Dallas Steakhouse Haywire
Overall rating: 3/5 (The steak was a bit underwhelming, but not bad enough to avoid. It’s the kind of place where you could eat or not.) I visited the Uptown location of Haywire. The interior is quite distinctive with a cowboy theme, and some of the waitstaff even wear cowboy boots. The ambiance and service were both good, but the taste was just average. The steak didn’t feel as good as those in Chicago. Two of us spent around $130, which averages to $65 per person excluding tips. The best dish of the night was the mac and cheese. It was incredible. 🙄🙄🙄 Although the service was good, the tip options were a bit overwhelming. The machine suggested 30%, 25%, and 20%, all calculated after tax. The waitstaff would watch as you entered your tip, which added a bit of pressure. ❤❤❤ In picture 2, the 18 oz Angus bone-in cowboy ribeye for $59.95. The meat was just okay, and it was a bit too salty. ❤❤❤❤ In picture 3, the 8 oz garlic-stuffed filet (medium) for $48.95. I chose asparagus as the side. The steak had garlic stuffed inside and was slightly salty. ❤❤❤❤❤ In picture 4, the mac and cheese. It was the best of the night! Smooth white cheddar cheese, al dente pasta, and topped with crispy crumbs. The layers of flavor and texture were amazing! We even ordered an extra portion, and it was so delicious. ❤❤❤❤❤ Bread pudding. Warning: it’s very sweet in the American style. But adding whisky balanced the sweetness well. The bread was soft on the bottom and crispy on top. I loved it and finished it in just a few bites. #TexasSteak #texas #Dallas #Steak #RestaurantRecommendation #AmbianceRestaurant
