Dallas Surroundings | McKinney's Blackberry Picking Farm π₯
This weekend, I arranged with friends to go to a nearby small farm to pick blackberries π«. Blackberry picking period: 5/25-6/28 Admission π«: You need to buy tickets in advance online for $5 per person. After arriving, show your ticket and you can choose a small bucket πͺ£. There are really a lot of blackberries here, the more you go to the back rows, the more there are. We chose a medium bucket, and there's no need to worry about not being able to fill it up. Tips: The bigger and darker ones are not necessarily sweeter; the smaller ones are actually sweeter (a conclusion after eating while picking until full). In addition to picking blackberries, you can also pick flowers πΌ (about $15-25) and fresh tomatoes and cucumbers. If you don't like picking things, you can also spend two dollars to feed the ponies π. The farm also makes its own Berry Lemonade and smoothies π§. Tips: Activities like this in summer are particularly sunny βοΈ, so arrange for sun protection and insect repellent, and if possible, bring a portable fan. Overall, the variety of activities is quite rich, not just limited to picking blueberries, making it very suitable for families to come and play.
