Dallas to Arkansas 4-Day Trip | Hiking and Family-Friendly Museums
š Day 3 - Pinnacle Mountain State Park - Little Rock Pinnacle Mountain State Park Visitor Center This newly built visitor center offers snacks and light meals, perfect for a quick lunch after completing the trails. šš»Must-Do Trails: West Summit Trail East Summit Trail Base Trail Loop These trails are the highlights of the park! You can start the West Summit Trail right from the visitor center. This trail is very popular among American families with kids, but since it involves climbing rocks, itās recommended for children aged 4 and above. āŖļøOur Hiking Route: We chose to hike up via the West Summit Trail and descended using the East Summit Trail, then returned to the visitor center via the Base Trail. This route is relatively easier. Although the West Summit Trail also involves rock climbing, the rocks are smaller compared to the East Summit. If you find the East Summit Trail too challenging for descending, you can always return via the West Summit Trail. šIf you start by following the Base Trail to the East Summit and find it too difficult to climb, youāll have to retrace your steps back to the West Summit, which can be tiring and time-consuming. According to the AllTrails map, the East Summit Trail involves more vertical climbing. From the summit, I could see that the East Summit Trail had many large rocks, and I couldnāt reach the next rock with my feet while sitting. If you attempt the East Summit Trail, itās advisable to have strong arms and some rock-climbing experience. #RockClimbing #Hiking #LittleRock #Arkansas #FamilyFriendly #NearbyDallas
