Day 1 Café Hopping in Reykjavík
Since most flights from Canada arrive in the morning, we had a half-day to explore Reykjavík’s coffee scene—here’s our verdict! ☕ Sandholt 📍 Must-visit, but expect a line! Lamb Tinga Sandwich 🥪 – Absolute standout (tender, flavorful!). Soy Latte – One of the best we tried in the city. Vibe: Classic Icelandic bakery meets Canadian-style brunch (limited afternoon options). ☕ Reykjavík Roasters 📍 Popular local chain Decent brew, but nothing extraordinary (solid for caffeine fixes). ☕ Hygge Coffee & Micro Bakery 📍 Korean-inspired cozy spot Must-try pastry: Forgot the name, but it had a passionfruit filling—tangy, sweet, and unlike typical North American bakeries! Final Thoughts: Sandholt wins for food + coffee combo. Hygge’s pastries are a fun twist. #coffee#Iceland#travel guide#Reykjavík Roasters#Sandholt #Reykjavík#Hygge Coffee & Micro Bakery
