Women run pastry shop that does have breads but it seemed like the croissants and desserts were the highlight. 1. Pistacho croissant…unreal. So unbelievably yummy and would get a million times over. Flaky and filled with a delicious almond marzipan. 2. Pan au chocolat, staple in the pastry world. If you make it correctly you’re a plus in my book and boy did they make it correctly 🥵 so good !! 3. Iced match latte was not mixed correctly. There were a lot of grains from the matcha which happens when the water isn’t hot enough when adding in the matcha. Would not recommend unless the way it’s prepared is changed. The bakery sometimes has free samples, would try the lemon tart the next time I come in because the sample was incredible. There’s also free orange and apple infused water (thank you 🙏🏼🙏🏼)

*Second visit took out a cinnamon roll.. still love it! Texture was interesting, it was chewy..! Please.get.Almond-Croissant!✨🥐 I came from Taiwan, currently based in NYC, and they have the best one I had so far. The reason is the filling. Compared to common crumbling texture, I loved the melting filling they had and it was not too sweet. And of course the croissant part was soft and crispy. The space was chill, great place for a breakfast or light meal. I would hope cappuccino can be more creamy. The beans they used that day was bitter, on the dark side.

Just outside the center of downtown, closer to the harbor district, we found Hygge coffee. Just as the name would imply, it was a minimalistic cafe serving delicious pastries and coffee to match. They have larger seating area where many were sitting behind screens and enjoying the ambience. Though the power strangely kept cutting in and out, we were able to order our iced lattes, pistachioroll, and madeleine and sat at a communal table to enjoy our treats. The coffee was good, but the pistachio roll was incredible. I'd go back just for that.

The cafe is currently in the hotel on the mezzanine which is also accessed by the stairs of the hotel lobby and external door. The location of Google seems to be the area being renovated as noted in the previous review. Extremely friendly and helpful staff describe the wide assortment of bread, pastries, chia, coffee and kombucha. They have a set menus of items every day with other items on rotation. Not overly sweet and great fresh flavor in everything ordered over the three days and multiple visits. Highly recommend!

We found this great Cafe by just searching Google maps and we are glad we did. The service was excellent, the cakes were delicious, the cafe was comfortable and warm. We used the time to plan our next trips out and time just drifted by, so much so that they came to us and said due to the fact they closed 5 minutes ago would we mind moving to the bar. Usually you get told 15 minutes before they close to make a move. How pleasant this was. We definitely recommend this cafe for the excellent service they provided.

Do not come here! It is so quaint and such a lovely environment. Pastries are by far the best we have found in all of our travel of Iceland. Simply amazing! The coffee is also really good! Often a little too hot, but depending on the barista of course. We spent 8 days in Reykjavik and ended up coming here almost every morning because nothing else compared. It is a popular place but not so crazy busy that we ever had to wait very long. So, don't come here! Because it is amazing and you all will spoil it.
