๐DC/Arlington Weekend Trip ๐โจ
Took a short trip while renewing my passport in DC โ here are some food spots I picked after checking Google and Xiaohongshu! ๐ฝ๏ธ๐ฑ Umai Nori: ๐๐๐โจ Not mind-blowing, but great value! ๐ต We ordered the sashimi and sushi lunch sets โ around $30 per set, which included salad ๐ฅ (not pictured), soup, sashimi/sushi, a big basket of tempura ๐ค, and a roll. Enough for two meals! The fish was fresh, and each item was well-made. If I lived nearby, Iโd come often! ๐๐ Guete Leute: ๐๐๐๐ So good โ I went every day during my trip! โโค๏ธ Tried the Mango Matcha Latte, Pink Salted Caramel Crรจme Latte, Crunch Corn Cream Latte, and their signature Guete Leute. The first two were the best โ not too sweet! The mango matcha had real fruit pulp ๐ฅญ๐ต, and the salted caramel was smooth. The dine-in-only small drink was a bit disappointing though โ too many sweet toppings overpowered the coffee. ๐ฏ๐ซ Shanghai Lounge: ๐๐๐โจ Ordered Maoxuewang (spicy blood and tofu stew), dry-fried green beans, and stir-fried pork kidney โ all flavorful and not too oily! ๐ฅ๐ถ๏ธ Reasonable prices, and the staff were super friendly! ๐ต๐ Others (no pics): Un je ne sais quoi: ๐๐๐๐ A French pastry shop I visit every time Iโm in DC! ๐ฅ๐ซ๐ท Brought back a whole bag to Florida for breakfast โ their รฉclairs, croissants, and tarts are exquisite and delicious! ๐ฐโจ Bostan Uyghur Cuisine: ๐๐๐ Loved the dry-fried noodles โ oily but so fragrant! ๐๐ฅ The noodles were chewy, but the stir-fried noodles with meat had a strong ginger taste, and the samsa pastry was too buttery for my taste. ๐ค Pho75: ๐๐๐๐ Cheap, huge portions, and fresh! ๐ฒ๐ซ The broth tasted natural โ no artificial flavors. Another must-visit every DC trip! Cash only ๐ต โ long but fast-moving lines on Friday nights. โณ๐ฅ #WashingtonDC #DCfood #ArlingtonEats #WeekendGetaway #FoodReview #AsianCuisine #CoffeeLovers #FrenchPastry #UyghurFood #VietnamesePho #BudgetEats #FreshIngredients #FoodieDiary #TravelAndEat #DCTravel #LocalRecommendations #QuickBites #FoodScout #TastyTrip #DCGuide
